Eris The Kind

The boy who would one day become Eris the Kind began with humble origins.  A tall, lanky boy who looked far older than he was, Eris felt the pull of adventure from an early age.  He would often venture far from Small Town, where he grew up, to the craggy mountains where he learned to fight by "Smiting the Evils" that lived there (The stray kobold or goblin).

Eventually, Eris settled on the idea of being a Paladin.  At the time, there was some unrest from bandits harrassing workers going to and from the now abandoned mine at Small Town.  Eris took up arms against them in the name of Helm and his city, single handedly fighting back dozens of bandits.  He would leave for a few years to pursue his craft of adventuring, but returned after severely injuring his foot, making the long walks and athletic lifestyle both painful and unnecessarily dangerous.

Eris moved back to Small Town for a while, but soon landed on the idea of building a temple to Helm in Gildenglade.  The city did not have a Helmite temple, despite many followers of Helm and Torm, and though it had no clerics, Eris figured they would come if they had a proper temple.

Eris gained the nickname "Eris the Kind" during his time in Gildenglade.  He often helps those in need, protecting the weak, and acts as a mediator during negotiations.  He has a calming presence about him that sets people's minds at ease.

His temple must be kept immaculately clean.  His standards for both his personal grooming and the state in which he presents the temple are uncanny.  Though he is past middle aged now, he appears to be a man of about 40, though to be fair he appeared to be 40 when he was a much younger man.  This ageless appearance only adds to the unchanging aura he presents.
