The twins, Amy and Emmy; the defender, Peni; and the casters, Moana and Ice, all stood and stared back at the destroyed and flaming cabin they'd just abandoned. Many of the attacking zombies perished in the flames, but those that were not close enough to the house to be consumed were now circling the flames and heading straight for the now illuminated group.
The Mysterious Stranger
The group met a strange man on their journey back from Small Town. He seemed harmless enough and the five teenagers were worn out from both their journey and their hard fought battles over the past two days. He explained that the gates to Gildenglade were closed and the guards were not letting anyone in until morning. He shared a meal and his fire with them, telling stories of distant lands and adventure.
The Group Forms
A community outside the protective walls of the trade city Gildenglade called Roscommon was abuzz with activity when one of the patriarchs of the community, Napraeleon Thurdan, announced the wedding of his youngest great granddaughters to a noble in the city. The grand wedding was set to be a massive affair, and the entire community was involved in preparing. Every craftsman, shopkeeper, and entertainer in Roscommon were thrilled to help with the decorations, food preparation, and great spectacle to be held in a weeks time. Even the youth were involved, doing menial tasks to allow the elders to focus on more complicated works.
Talo
The mysterious figure named Talo was first encountered by the party I'm the Gildenglade prison. The group was brought to a group holding cell where they expected to be released after their news of the incident at Small Town was confirmed. They instead were locked in their room for two days before being suddenly released by an unknown force. Talo was in an adjoining cell, and stayed with the group due to the unrest in the city making strength in numbers a priority.
Rohi Dain
Rohi is the oldest surviving member of the Dain clan, though that is primarily due to the clan's already small size. It' not for lack of trying, however, as Rohi has 30 of his own chilrdren. Rohi, son of Hgerg, son of Gibto, spends roughly 20 hours of each day on work. He takes a very active role in the design aspect of his business, but also enjoys swinging a hammer and immersing himself in the work. Rockhammer construction is known throughout Turmish despite having no clear base of operations. Gibto Dain helped broker the peace with Napraeleon Thurdan, and his progeny have continued to work hand in hand with the elves.
Napraeleon Thurdan
Old even by Elven standards of age, Napraeleon Thurdan is
somewhat of a folk legend in Gildenglade. During a troublesome time,
hundreds of years ago, when the elves and dwarves lived together, but only
begrudgingly, Napraeleon bartered peace by purchasing several mines in
Aphrunn above cost and then hiring only the destitute dwarven residents
outside the wall to work them. He paid a good wage and provided for the
various communities outside the wall. It was Napraeleon's work within
those communities that made peaceful coexistence possible outside the
wall, and much of the city's inclusiveness can be traced back at least
in part to Napraeleon Thurdan.
Eris The Kind
The boy who would one day become Eris the Kind began with humble origins. A tall, lanky boy who looked far older than he was, Eris felt the pull of adventure from an early age. He would often venture far from Small Town, where he grew up, to the craggy mountains where he learned to fight by "Smiting the Evils" that lived there (The stray kobold or goblin).
The Setting
Campaign starts in the region of Turmish, in the Sea of Fallen Stars of the Forgotten Realms. A large portion of the 1.7 million inhabitants of Turmish reside in the capital city of Alaghon or the trade city of Gildenglade. It is the latter where our story begins.
